AMV — Maranata Ventures

Technology built
for people,
not just markets.

A purpose-driven holding company developing digital platforms that serve the church, restore the broken, and walk alongside those who need it most — starting in South Africa, with Africa in view.

"Come, Lord Jesus." — Revelation 22:20

Maranata — the ancient Aramaic cry of the early church: "Our Lord, come." It is our reminder that everything we build is held in hands greater than our own, and offered in service of something that outlasts any product.

1 Corinthians 16:22 · Revelation 22:20

Born from experience,
not imagination.

AMV — Maranata Ventures does not build technology for hypothetical users. Every platform we develop is shaped by four decades of sitting with real people — in the rehabilitation ward, in the pulpit, in the counselling room.

We are a small, focused company. We build slowly, carefully, and only what we believe genuinely serves people. We are not racing to scale. We are committed to doing things well.

01 — Foundation
Rooted in faith
We are not a company that happens to be run by a Christian. Faith is the operating system. It shapes what we build, who we build it for, and how we treat everyone we serve.
02 — Experience
40 years in the field
Our founder has spent four decades in rehabilitation and Dutch Reformed ministry in South Africa. Our tools are not theoretical. They are shaped by thousands of hours with people in genuine need.
03 — Place
South Africa first, Africa next
The pilot is South African — POPIA-compliant, WhatsApp-native, priced for local institutions. The vision is continental. We build here first because we know this ground; we scale from here because the need is everywhere.

Two platforms. One calling.

Each built to serve a different community — the church seeking depth in Scripture, and the person seeking restoration after addiction.

Kairos
Deeper into the Word. Deeper into community.

A Scripture-centred discipleship platform combining personal Bible engagement with Koinonia Group administration — for individuals, small group leaders, and church staff. Rooted in historic Reformed orthodoxy, built for the modern church.

Sobriety Journey
Recovery doesn't end at the gate.

A clinical aftercare platform connecting discharged rehabilitation patients with their counsellors through a structured 12-session programme. POPIA-compliant, WhatsApp-native, built first for South Africa — by someone who has spent 40 years in this work — with the broader African rehabilitation sector in view.

A

"I have spent forty years sitting with people at the edge of their lives — in the rehabilitation ward, in the pulpit, in the counselling room. My faith is not separate from this work. It is the reason for it. Everything we build is shaped by a single conviction: that every human being carries dignity worth fighting for, and that technology can either honour that dignity or erode it. We choose to honour it."

Four convictions that shape everything.

✝️
Conviction-driven
We are convinced that technology must serve human dignity, not just human appetite. That conviction is rooted in our faith — and it shapes everything we build.
🤲
People before product
We build for the person who needs it most, not for the pitch deck. Every feature must pass a simple test: does this help someone?
🔒
Clinical integrity
Four decades of experience in rehabilitation means we don't guess at what works. We build what we know is needed.
🌍
Africa is the vision
South Africa is the proving ground. The need — for better aftercare, for deeper discipleship, for dignity-centred technology — runs across the continent.

Let's talk.

Whether you're a rehab centre exploring Sobriety Journey, a church interested in Kairos, an investor aligned with our mission, or simply curious about what we're building.

We are a small team and we respond personally. No automated replies, no sales funnels — just a conversation.
